Texarkana Police Arrest Man & Woman For Alleged Aggravated Robbery
Texarkana Texas Police arrested a man and a woman in connection to an alleged aggravated robbery just before noon this past Monday, October 7.
Police arrested 61-year-old Danny Williams and 34-year-old Dequeener Mitchell after responding to a call reporting that an elderly man was injured in the 500 block of Blake Street.
According to the Texarkana Texas Police Department's Facebook page,
When the officers arrived they an 86-year-old victim with a large cut on his head. The man said two people had robbed him after he had agreed to give them a ride. He said that once they arrived at the location, the man sitting in the backseat of the vehicle allegedly tried to choke him with a baseball bat. When the victim resisted, the suspect reportedly struck him in the head with the bat. The female suspect then allegedly took his wallet and stole his cash.
The suspects fled on foot, leaving the victim injured and bleeding in his vehicle. Shortly after, police located both Williams and Mitchell a few blocks away and arrested them. Authorities later found the victim’s money in Mitchell’s purse.
Although the victim sustained a large gash and bruising to his head, he was treated at the scene by LifeNet and declined transport to the hospital.
Williams and Mitchell were booked into the Bi-State Jail, each with bonds set at $150,000. They remain in custody as of the latest update.
