
TexAmericas Center Showcases Growth Opportunities to Tokyo Leaders
Growth at TexAmericas Center doesn't just happen; they make it happen. Recently, TexAmericas hosted a delegation from the Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG) for a two-day site visit last week (February 2 and 3) as they continue to strengthen the long-standing economic partnership between Texas and Tokyo.
TexAmerica - A Gateway for International Business Growth
According to a press release, the visit highlighted TexAmericas Center’s role in supporting international business growth and foreign investment in the Texarkana region. The industrial park is nearly 12,000 acres and includes about 3.5 million square feet of industrial, warehouse, office, and logistics space. The facilities offered are attracting both domestic and international companies looking to expand.

TexAmericas Near Texarkana Supporting Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises
The delegation’s visit was part of the Texas–Tokyo Statement of Mutual Cooperation. This is an agreement that was signed in January 2022 between the State of Texas and the Tokyo Metropolitan Government. Under the agreement, TexAmericas Center is one of 18 Texas economic development partners selected to help Tokyo-based small and medium-sized businesses enter and grow in the Texas market.

As a designated partner in the Texas-Tokyo cooperation, TexAmericas Center is focused on delivering real, operational results for companies entering the U.S. for the first time.
During the visit, TexAmerica's officials were able to show their site readiness, transportation and logistics, workforce availability, and incentive programs. During the tour, they also discussed workforce development and training opportunities with regional colleges and universities.
