Main Street Texarkana Announces Theme & Date for 42nd Annual Christmas Parade

Main Street Texarkana just announced the date and theme for the 42nd Annual Main Street Texarkana Christmas Parade, to be held on Monday, December 7, at 7 p.m.

Texarkana's historic downtown will be filled with festive floats, high school marching bands, vintage vehicles, holiday lights, and of course, a special appearance from Santa Claus himself. The free family-friendly event has become a holiday tradition for generations of Texarkana families.

This Year's Theme: Home for the Holidays

As part of the celebration of America's 250th anniversary, this year's parade theme is "Home for the Holidays."

Main Street Texarkana Executive Director Ina McDowell said the theme focuses on one of the most cherished American traditions, coming home to spend Christmas with family and loved ones.

Parade entries will be judged on how well they bring the theme to life. Awards will be presented in three categories: Marching Band, Non-Commercial, and Commercial, with first, second, and third-place trophies awarded in each division.
