Over the past year, we have seen a lot of businesses and restaurants open and close in Texarkana. It's never good to see a beloved restaurant like the China Inn close but great news is right around the corner for Texarkana foodies. Hoppin' Wok a new Chinese restaurant is slated to open sometime in late spring or early summer inside the former Kyoto Teriyaki building at 3520 North State Line Avenue on the Arkansas-side of town.

This will be welcome news for folks still missing China Inn which sold out to a new car wash last year. According to a story from the Texarkana Gazette, Ming Lee, and his wife have been working tirelessly to get the restaurant ready to open. Lee has 15 years of restaurant experience in Houston and promises to bring fresh affordable traditional American-Chinese classics to Texarkana such as the ever-popular fried rice, pepper steak, orange chicken, chow mein, egg rolls, and more.

The new owners of Hoppin' Wok are ditching the traditional Chinese decor for a more modern, sleek, vibe with a relaxing atmosphere for casual dining. I'm sure Texarkana can't wait to try out the new Hoppin' Wok coming soon!

Welcome to Texarkana, Hoppin' Wok!
