What Texarkana Wants: Here is Our Listeners’ Top 10 Stores and Venues Wish List

We've seen a lot of restaurants and stores come and go over the past few years. It makes you think of the good old days, but it also makes us all dream of the new places we would love to see in Texarkana.

For a long time, my husband and I wanted to see an Aldi come to town. We waited for what seemed like years when smaller towns like Longview and Mount Pleasant had them, but we didn't. Of course, I'm happy to say that all changed a little over two years ago.

We've also had to say goodbye to a lot of Texarkana favorites like China Inn, Chappos, Big Lots and others.

A couple of weeks ago, we asked our listeners on our Facebook Page...

"What kind of new store or entertainment venue would you love to see open in Texarkana?"

We had almost 200 comments! Some people listed one place and others had a big list of what they wanted to see in Texarkana. Some talked about entertainment places that we did have at one point, but unfortunately had to close due to lack of business. Then there were a few men that felt we needed a strip joint, but we won't go there, at least not in this story.

We looked through all the suggestions, counted the results, and found the top ten places mentioned.
