Support Texarkana Shelter Animals at Upcoming Paws & Pars Charity Golf Tournament

Calling all golfers! You will have the chance to hit the links while supporting a great cause during the inaugural Paws & Pars Charity Golf Tournament, benefiting the Texarkana Animal Shelter.

The tournament will be hosted by ETX Coins and East Street Pawn and Jewelry and s scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 29 at Northridge Country Club in Texarkana, Texas. Proceeds from the event will help support shelter animals in the Texarkana community.

Check-in will close at 11 AM with lunch served at 11:30 AM and a 1 PM shotgun start.

Paws & Pars Tournament in Texarkana Details

The event will be played as a two-man team format. Each player must have a handicap, and teams will use the average of both handicaps. Alternate shot play will be used, with one player teeing off on odd-numbered holes and the other on even-numbered holes.

Teams may purchase up to three mulligans per team for $100 each.

A GHIN handicap is preferred, but golfers with approved app handicaps may participate with proof of at least three months of score history or 10 completed rounds. You will need to have your handicap with you at check-in.

Prizes and Contests

The tournament will offer cash payouts to the top five finishing teams:

1st Place – $1,200
2nd Place – $900
3rd Place – $700
4th Place – $500
5th Place – $300

Golfers will also have the chance to compete for a $10,000 hole-in-one prize, courtesy of Top Carts 413, along with a closest-to-the-hole contest sponsored by Hole Sponsor No. 13 worth $500.

Participants can also enter a long drive contest for a chance to win a Lab Golf putter.

Registration and Sponsorships

Team entry is $300 per team and includes green fees, lunch, and beer during play. Registration closes one week before the tournament.

Hole sponsorships are available starting at $350. Only 17 hole sponsorship opportunities available.

The tournament committee notes that all players are expected to compete fairly and reserves the right to verify handicaps and adjust or reject entries when necessary.
