A new project that will give commercial truck drivers a safe place to park is set to get underway this fall along Interstate 30 in western Bowie County.

According to the Texas Department of Transportation, the project will be located on both sides of I-30 near County Road 4204, west of Farm-to-Market Road 990.

The work will include the construction of new entrance and exit ramps, along with dedicated truck parking areas for both eastbound and westbound traffic.
