The Arkansas State Police, along with the St. Francis County Sheriff’s Office and the U.S. Marshals Service, are asking for the public’s help in locating 38-year-old Christopher Davenport of Forrest City. He was reported missing from the St. Francis County Detention Center on Monday evening, November 24.

Arkansas Inmate Discovered Missing During Routine Headcount

Officials say Davenport, who is from Forrest City, Arkansas, was discovered missing around 7 PM Monday during a routine headcount. He was being held under trustee status while he was waiting for his trial on felony charges, including first-degree battery, two counts of endangering the welfare of a minor, and several weapons offenses. He is also facing additional charges from his arrest by the U.S. Marshals Service.

Davenport was originally taken into custody on September 19, following a shooting at the Star One Food Mart in Forrest City. He was booked into the St. Francis County Detention Center, where he had been held until his escape was discovered.
