
Growing Pains & Progress – Your Guide to the Latest I-30 Traffic Changes June 21-27
Oh, the growing pains with the widening of I-30, but that's okay because it is all part of progress, and Texarkana is growing.
Our friends at TXDOT are keeping us informed and up to date on all the changes happening on I-30 on the entrances and exits on the Texas side of Texarkana.
Please pay close attention when you are driving in these areas.

The Interstate 30 (I-30) Project – Widening the highway from Farm to Market road (FM) 989/Kings Highway to the Arkansas state line.
Westbound lanes are back to the traditional, two-lane traffic pattern. All westbound entrance & exit ramps open.
If You Are Traveling I-30 Eastbound, Here Are Some Things to Know:
Exit 217 to access Kings Highway & FM 2148.
Lanes split.
Exit 218 for local access east of Pecan Street.
Left through lane, there is no option to exit.

Traveling to I-30 eastbound from Interstate 369 / U.S. Highway (U.S.) 59 / State Loop (SL) 151:
Exit 114B / Richmond Road is for local access.
Eastbound I-30 connector bridge - There is no option to exit.
FM 989/Kings Highway at I-30 - Bridge replacement. Traffic is detoured.

I know this is inconvenient, but take deep breaths and take your time. It ain't over yet, but we can all see the progress! Oh, and when it's done, it's going to be great! Just give yourself plenty of time to get to your destination and watch for road workers, and be sure to give them plenty of space!
