The Four States Fair and Rodeo will be here before you know it and with comes another great tradition in Texarkana, Elve's Peanut Patties.

I am not originally from Texarkana, but when I first moved here and went to the Four States Fair for the first time I was quickly introduced to Elve's Peanut Patties.

I remember a coworker, Phillis, and I were working the fair at the radio station's booth.  After our shift, Phyllis turned to me and said something about how it was time for her to get her Elve's Peanut Pattie. Not knowing what she was talking about, I tagged along to find out what the hoopla was all about.

When we got to the iconic Elve's trailer I ordered my first Elve's Peanut Pattie. Oh my! Not only was it delicious but it was warm and fresh. I was hooked.

On their website, you can now order boxes of their famous Peanut Patties, Peanut Crumbles, Pecan Patties and Pecan Crumbles, and they sell special Arkansas state-shaped Peanut Patties too.
