With all the icy weather from Winter Storm Fern hitting Texas and Arkansas, I saw a pretty cool hack to defrost your windshield in seconds.

We all know that if you don't have a garage to keep your car in the windshield will icy over and it is hard to defrost it. You can wait for hours with the defrost on in your car or you can get that lovely ice scraper that we all hate.

Disclaimer: First of all, let me say that I have never tried this and frankly, I'm a little too scared to try it on my vehicle. However, I am bringing it up, this hack is basically a formula for an easy deicer. There are quite a few videos on it and different forums as well. So, I'll let you decide if you want to try it at your own risk, not mine!

The hack uses two ingredients that you will more than likely have at your house and you will need a spray bottle. The two ingredients are water and regular old rubbing alcohol.

The recipe is 1/3 part water (not hot water) then add 2/3 part rubbing alcohol (Isopropyl alcohol) and put the mixture in a spray bottle. Then you spray it on your windshield and Wa-la, the ice disappears!

Isopropyl alcohol has a freezing point of about -128 F, which is why it melts ice so much faster than using your car's heater. Another cool thing is you can keep this mixture in the spray bottle in your car all winter long and it won't freeze!

Check out the video below. Have you tried this hack? Let us know how it worked for you.
