For those of us who watch programs like "Forged In Fire" on the History Channel, the idea of making our very own axe, sword, armor, whatever, is very intriguing. Here's your chance, as a hands-on axe-making course is coming to Historic Washington near Hope, Arkansas, where you can learn traditional Bladesmithing skills.

Yes, You, Forging Your Own Axe!

Just a 30-minute drive from Texarkana to reach the two-day “Forge Your Own Axe” course, held May 23-24 from 8 AM to 5 PM both days, and will be led by master bladesmith Lin Rhea (below). The workshop is designed for beginners as well as those with previous blacksmithing experience.
