Tis the season for fishing and there is another big fishing tournament just around the corner. It's the Cooper Tire 8th Annual Big Bass Fishing Tournament.

It's time to get registered and enter this tournament with guaranteed payouts and it all benefits United Way of Greater Texarkana.

There is going to be a lot of money on the line:

First Place $2,000

Second Place $1,200

Third Place $800

Fourth Place $600

Fifth Place $400

Sixth Place $300

Plus cash winning for fish weighing in at certain weights:

$200 for the fish weighing as close to 2lbs without going over

$300 for the fish closest to 3lbs without going over

$400 for the fish closest to 4lbs without going over

$500 for the fish closest to 5lbs without going over

There will even be hourly paybacks with first place winning $400, second place $300 and third place $200. But you can double your money on 'hat hours' if you buy one of the limited edition tournament hats for $20

Todd Thomas with Cooper Tire said there is still time to enter this tournament for a great time and a great cause. The entry fee of $80 goes to the United Way of Greater Texarkana. Todd's daughter is a cheerleader at Fouke Jr. High and she will be selling pulled pork sandwiches for a donation so be sure and donate generously.
