The Arkansas Scholarship Lottery (ASL) is helping spread the holiday spirit by having a holiday toy drive benefiting the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program.

While also trying to raise awareness that you should not be buying lottery tickets as presents for kids under the age of 18.

Now through Wednesday, November 29, you can drop off new unwrapped toys at the ASL Claim Center located at 124 W. Capitol Avenue in Little Rock open 8 AM to 4:30 PM and closed on holidays.

ASL will be hosting an official drop-off event on Wednesday, November 29 at the ASL Claim Center.  From 10 AM to 3 PM you can stop by to donate toys and enter a drawing to win a lottery prize pack. You'll also have the chance to win cool lottery swag. The first 200 adult participants to donate toys will receive an  Arkansas Scholarship Lottery holiday instant ticket.

ASL Executive Director Eric Hagler said in a press release,

The holidays can be a trying time for families in need. With these toy donations, we hope to bring joy to more children this holiday season.

The toys will then be donated to the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve and distributed to less fortunate families in Central Arkansas.

This holiday toy drive is also about bringing awareness to discourage giving lottery tickets as gifts to children.

Hagler said,

We want to encourage giving gifts that are appropriate for children and young teens and remind people that lottery tickets should not end up in the hands of minors.
