Harvest Regional Food Bank is able to accomplish some pretty amazing feats in the battle again food insecurity for individuals, children, and seniors in our area. They like to say they are delivering hope one meal at a time, and their statistics are astonishing:

  • They distributed nearly 4.5 million pounds of food in 2022.
  • They distributed more than 13,000 commodity boxes through their local mobile pantries in 2022.
  • They serve over 5,000 children through a backpack program, after-school programs, and school pantries.
  • They distribute food through more than 75 partnering church pantries, soup kitchens, and shelters in Bowie county and the surrounding area.

Like many non-profits, the Harvest Regional Food Bank runs and thrives on donations from the community and community volunteers. They accept food donations at their Texarkana location (3120 E. 19th St.) and through local food drives. To learn more about volunteering, call (870) 774-1398 or email development@hrfb.org.
