There have been quite a few cover versions of the Guns N' Roses classic "Sweet Child O' Mine" over the years, but this is definitely the first jazz/blues rendition to include an American Idol contestant and a tap dancer.

The group Postmodern Jukebox have been doing a series of videos called Postmodern Jukebox: Reboxed. For "Sweet Child O' Mine," they teamed up with Casey Abrams, who was a contestant on American Idol back in 2011.

In a post on their website, the band says, "Casey is a force of nature. He has that rare gift that all natural performers have: he’s completely, authentically himself from the moment he steps onstage. This Reboxed cover of GN'R’s biggest hit finds Casey in blues / rock mode, playing with different phrasing styles and textures in his voice. In his previous videos with us, he was more or less tethered by an upright bass, but this video allowed him to 'explore the space' quite a bit."

The video also includes a guest appearance from tap dancing legend Sarah Reich, making the band's unique take on the song even more interesting.

Postmodern Jukebox's YouTube channel also includes numerous other unique cover songs of artists in many different genres, such as Lady Gaga, Radiohead, Drake and White Stripes.
