Garage Sale To Benefit Samaritan’s Purse Is Today – Saturday, May 2 – 4

The Golden Circle Class from First Baptist Church is holding its Summer Garage sale fundraiser today through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Garage Sale is taking place at 1901 College Drive in Texarkana, Texas and will benefit the Samaritan's Purse "Operation Shoe Box," which is a collection that delivers gift-filled shoe boxes and ministry material for children in more than one hundred fifty countries around the world.

Items will include furniture, home decor, household items, and glassware, plus a wide variety of other items that will be displayed in two buildings for sale to the public.

Proceeds raised from this fundraiser will go towards processing and shipping cost to send out these shoeboxes. Last year over 9300 boxes were distributed. This is one of many ways you can help children who are affected by war, poverty, natural disasters, famine, and disease. Many of these children have never received a gift before.
