Four States Fair Parade Route Detours Around Construction
The Four States Fair parade is Saturday, Sept. 9 at 10AM, in downtown Texarkana with a slight route detour around construction.
This map shows a slightly different route than previous years for the fair parade and is close to the same route for the Mardi Gras celebration.
New Route: The parade begins on East Broad Street as usual but then takes a left onto Hazel Street/East Front Street as it winds around Front Street Festival Plaza. The parade then turns right onto Olive Street for one block then turns a quick left onto East Broad again before it turns right for a long stretch on North State Line Avenue with the famous turn to the right in front of the Federal Court House and finishes on Fifth Street.
The parade usually has more than one hundred entries including school floats, bands, cheerleaders, antique cars, Shriners, Miller County Sheriff's Department, fire trucks and many others. Bring a chair and join in on the fun.
