The 2019 Railfest has been moved to the Four States Fairgrounds Entertainment Center, due to inclement weather expected in our area on Saturday. Kicker 102-5 welcomes Parker McCollum with special guest the Dusty Rose Band.

The Dusty Rose Band is a well known local band that has been around since 2005. Through the years DRB has developed a band that knows how to throw a party, no matter how big or small the event may be. Jason Springer, the lead singer, will tell you straight up.

"It's all about the fans, they're the ones that keep showing their support by coming to our shows, no matter where that might be."

The band has played all over the Ark-La-Tex at various events, festivals, private parties, bars, fundraisers, and yes, even casinos in Shreveport-Bossier on a regular basis. They've also had the opportunity to open for other musical artist such as, Chase Rice at Railfest several years ago, and Mark Chesnutt, Jason Boland, and others. On September 5, 2017, it was proclaimed Dusty Rose Band Day, by former Mayor of Texarkana, Arkansas Ruth Penney Bell.

Having known Jason for several years now, I know they are most certainly excited and looking forward to opening up for Austin based, Parker McCollum on Saturday night. The Dusty Rose Band hits the stage at 7PM and Parker is scheduled to go at 9PM.  Tickets are $20+tax and available at all Texarkana Roadrunner locations. They can also be purchased online here. A limited number of VIP tickets are still on sale for $50 which includes concert admission, seating in the VIP tent and a meal provided by Silver Star Smokehouse.

Having earned the reputation as a party band the Dusty Rose Band continues to rev up its fans with their blend of Southern Rock, Country, Classic Rock, Blues, and Pop. Like many bands who evolve over the years there have been a few changes. The band now consists of Jason Springer - Lead Vocals and Rhythm guitar, Lee Brooks - Lead Guitar and vocals, Barry Hurula - Bass guitar, Russel Cobb - Drums and percussion, Jake Gathright - Guitarist and vocalist.

So put on your dancing shoes and come join the party Saturday night at Railfest with the Dusty Rose Band.
