This is OUTRAGEOUS! This woman was battered and tortured for 7 hours. She was beaten with a dumb bell. She had her throat slashed. All in front of her children. Now she has to write the man or go to jail!

29-year-old Natalie Allman was beaten and had her throat cut by her ex-fiance, 42-year-old Jason Hughes, because he wanted to make her look ugly after she dumped him.

Hughes was sentenced to nine years in 2012 for the attack that occurred in 2011, in front of the couples young sons.

Now a judge in their hometown of Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire, England is ordering Allman to write letters and send pictures of the couples two young boys or face jail time herself. Allman has been ordered to write three letters a year to Hughes updating him on the now 5-year-old twin boys. She also must send pictures of the boys every Easter, September and December. Under the countries parental rights laws, if Ms Allman does not comply with the order, she will be in contempt of court and could be imprisoned.

They became engaged in 2010, and she discovered that she was expecting twins. Allman said Hughes had a drinking problem and was out of control and in February 2011 Ms. Allman ended their relationship just two months before they had planned to marry.

She has said previously that he was drinking as much as a litre of vodka. He lashed out after she told him she was seeing someone else.

On February 3, 2011, as Ms .Allman was lying in bed, Hughes began the terrifying seven-hour attack on his ex, he tried to smother her with a pillow while repeatedly bludgeoning her with a dumb bell. He also slashed her throat. She has no doubt that he was trying to kill her.

In the U.S. The statistics around domestic violence are staggering, one in every four women experience severe physical violence from an intimate partner at some point in their lifetimes, and over 15 million children witness violence in their homes each year. Most incidents are never reported to the police. In an effort to help end domestic violence, Verizon has launched the Joyful Heart Foundation with lots of great resources.
