I don't know about you but this weather is perfect for a hot bowl of chili. Hopefully, by this weekend the weather will be better and the roads in better shape for the Christ United Methodist Church annual chili supper this Saturday, Feb. 20, 2021.

The United Methodist Men will be serving up some hot chili from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM at the Christ United Methodist Church located at 5204 South Rondo Road.

Adults are $10, children $5, the chili supper includes a dessert too and carry-outs are also available. The annual chili supper will benefit the Curtis Cornett Scholarship Fund. Since they started doing this a few years ago I haven't missed one yet. The chili is so good! I hate to admit it but I'm sort of picky when it comes to great-tasting chili.

So how do you like your chili with beans or no beans? Some people say chili is not chili if it has beans in it. I prefer it both ways myself and yes, you have to throw a little cheese on top. There are so many ways to eat chili from throwing in a few corn chips or crumbling up some cracker crumbs to add in, my favorite thing to do. I have a friend who likes throwing corn flakes in his chili. No, thank you!
