The CASA Colorful 5K and Family Fun Run will be held on Saturday, April 23rd at Trinity Baptist Church in Texarkana Arkansas.

The CASA colorful 5k is a family-friendly event for kids and adults of all ages, Early registration for the race is going on now here through April 22. Here are the details on the individual classes that are taking place at the CASA Colorful 5K.

This is what CASA had to say about the upcoming race:

The run begins on an open field and winds through a dirt trail system. The route is repeated once. The race begins with each participant releasing a bag of color into the air creating a beautiful burst of color.

There will be a kid's competitive run for kids ages 5 through 12 the entry is just $10 and starts at 8:30 until 9 am, and there will be medals awarded.

The adult competitive 5K is for competitors aged 19 and up and entry is $30. There will be a family fun walk as well and medals will be awarded and it starts at 9 AM and runs to 11 AM

If you are a student there is a special event and discounted entry fee for you. Students ages 13 to 18 get a rate of just $10 for entry. This run begins at 9 AM and ends at 11 AM and medals will be awarded.

Everyone that registers for the race will get one color bag and one T-shirt while supplies last you can also join them for a pre-race warm-up. The warm-up will start at 8 AM near the field at Trinity Christian.

This race is a 3.1-mile fitness run/walk on a cross-country trail. Be sure to wear clothing that you won't be upset if the color doesn't come out in the wash.
