Candidate for Mayor

Texarkana, Texas councilmember Bob Bruggeman announced plans today to run for Texas-side Mayor. Bruggeman has been on the city council since 2005. Bruggeman says he wants to continue the growth and progress in the city. As for a new city manager, the candidate says besides being knowlegable in the workings of city government, experience in finances would be desirably and the new city manager would need to be a people person and a good listener.

Bob is married to his wife Jackie and has two daughters. He graduated from Texas High School in 1980 and earned a BBA Degree in 1984 from Texas A&M University-Texarkana. The city election will be held this May.
