Are you trying to figure out how to get on a list for the COVID-19 vaccine? Here's a great place to start.
The Texarkana-Bowie County Family Health Center will continue to take the names of individuals who want to receive the COVID-19 Vaccine. According to a press release, you can call (903) 255-5566 between the clinic's hours of 8AM to 5PM Monday through Friday to be added to a running list of people seeking a vaccination. The Health Center staff will continue to vaccinate the public based on qualifying factors of those on the waiting list as doses are received from the state.
Texas is currently in Phase 1B of the vaccination plan, which makes vaccinations available to individuals to people 65 and older, or 16 and older with at least one chronic medical condition that puts them at increased risk for severe illness from the virus that causes COVID-19.
And remember Texas has no residency requirements for those who receive a vaccination in the state, so Arkansas residents can receive the vaccination on the Texas side of town. Arkansas, however only can offer the vaccine to people that either live or work in the state of Arkansas.
