Beloved Texarkana Restaurant Closes on Saturdays Due to Staff Shortage

Covid-19 has been tough on businesses all around the country, but it's hard to take when you see it happen locally. Restaurants have really been hit hard.

You would think that when we opened back up that the restaurants would be doing great because we all love to go out for lunch and dinner. If you have watched the news then you will have heard how restaurants across the country have had a difficult time keeping wait staff. In fact, we have quite a few restaurants locally that have closed off parts of their dining areas because they just don't have the staff to work the whole area.

Well, here is another restaurant that needs help before it's too late. It's one of the Hidden Gem Restaurants in Texarkana that I highlighted a few weeks ago. Chappos Pizza and Pasta recently announced that they will not be open on Saturdays anymore.

They posted on their Facebook page:

Effective August 16, 2021, Our business hours will change. As y'all know for the past year businesses have struggled across the county and we are no exception, we are grateful to each and every one of you who have joined us on Saturdays, but the lack of having no staff has put a strain on our business. We Thank you for all the support you have given us. And we hope to see you soon.

I hate to see a local business struggle. That is why it is always so important to support our locally owned small businesses. And this one has always served up delicious food.

They posted their new hours will be Monday through Friday with Lunch served from 11 AM to 2:30 PM and Dinner from 5 PM to 9:30 PM Closed Saturday and Sundays. Chappos is located at 3919 North Stateline Avenue in Texarkana Texas.
