There will be a Dog Adoption Event at Petsmart in Texarkana on Saturday, August 4 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Several dog rescues will be at the event with many different dog breeds available for adoption.

The winner of the Petsafe Bark for Your Park $100,000 Grand Prize will be announced on Friday at Festival Plaza in Downtown Texarkana. The party will start at 6:30 p.m. with lots of entertainment and fun for the entire family.

I would say that Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee got what he wanted when he put his order in today: Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day was bumper to bumper. Texarkana was a mad-house.

There will be a low cost spay and neuter mobile clinic set up on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at Tractor Supply Company on Stateline in Texarkana from 10 a.m to 2 p.m. Low cost vaccinations, heartworm and flea medications, micro-chips, nail trimming and other services will be available at the clinic.

There is a Benefit Big Bass Fishing Tournament on Saturday, July 14 from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Millwood Lake Yarborough Landing near Ashdown, Arkansas.
