Aerosmith is blessed with two gifted guitarists, but there’s no question it’s Joe Perry, and not Brad Whitford, who gets the lion’s share of the attention. During his weekend appearance on ‘That Metal Show,’ Whitford insisted that the disparity didn’t bother him. Well, O.K., maybe one time….

Starship guitarist Mark Abrahamian died last night (Sunday, Sept. 2) of a heart attack following the group’s concert in Norfolk, Neb. He was 46 and had been with the Mickey Thomas-fronted group since 2000.

Sammy Hagar took fans on a trip through his 40-year career last night (Sept. 1) during a special ’4 Decades of Rock’ concert in Lake Tahoe, Nev. The show featured appearances from members of all three of his famous bands — Montrose, Van Halen and Chickenfoot — as well as David Coverdale of Whitesnake.

Guns N’ Roses will perform a 12-show residency, entitled ‘Appetite for Democracy,’ at the Joint in the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. The fun kicks off on Oct. 31 and runs through Nov. 24.
