Back in the day a lot of guys rocked a mullet haircut including myself, you know the one where your hair was short on the side and long in the back.

As with anything, old is new and a 12-year-old kid from Wesley, Arkansas just could win the title at the USA Mullet Championship, according to a report from THV-11 Little Rock. Rowan Bell with his flowing locks has made it into the Top 25 and has made it to the second round of the USA Mullet Championship. Bell is hoping on winning back-to-back titles for the state after Allan Baltz a sixth-grade student from Jonesboro, Arkansas won the title last year.

As you see from this photo Rowan is rockin' his mullet.

Rowan has been sporting the mullet for three years hoping to win the championship. By the way, the top prize in the USA Mullet Championship is bragging rights and $2,500 and that could buy him a lot of Legos since he loves building Lego sets.

Parents should be contacted this week to see if Rowan becomes a finalist, voting ended on July 24.  When Bell is not pampering his hair he enjoys kayaking, 3D printing, and playing the guitar like a rock star.

So move over Morgan Wallen, there's a new kid in town!

Other country stars that have rocked a mullet at one time are Blake Shelton and the infamous Billy Ray Cyrus Mr. Achy Breaky Heart.

Here's a very young Mario Garcia rockin' a semi-mullet or maybe it's just long hair. LOL
