When you travel across this great country you never know what laws you may be breaking unless you know about them. There are so many absurd bizarre laws that really make no sense and make you wonder just how they came up with them.

Let's take a look at 6 ridiculous laws in Arkansas that makes no sense.

1. Allowed to Beat Wife, But Only Once Per Month

This probably is the most bizarre law out of all of them. Apparently, it is a law that goes back hundred of years but if you look for the origins of where this originated from there are really no concrete legal facts to back this up. Maybe that's where that whole thing came from about the guy that wears a shirt and cuts off the sleeves, they call it a wife beater shirt or maybe it's just a way of stereotyping men in Arkansas.

2. No Flirting Allowed on Streets in Little Rock

You could wind up behind bars for 30 days if you are caught flirting, winking, staring, or whistling at any person of the opposite sex while walking or traveling down a street.  Ordinance No. 2502 was put in place by the city in 1918 to discourage prostitution in the city. Arkansas code 5-70-1-2 still prohibits prostitution. However, after doing some research on this, I found there is NO law that prohibits flirting in Little Rock.

3. Not Allowed to Name a Child Zabradacka

This is another bizarre law that has no findings to back it up. But whatever you do, you are not allowed to name your kid, Zabradacka. Some say it's an ancient obscure law that fell through the cracks or it's some type of urban legend. Zabradacka sounds like some character from Star Wars or something like a mythical creature such as the Chupacabra. I think I would be crying too!

4. Atheists are not Allowed to Testify as a Witness or Hold Political Office

An ordinance in the Arkansas Constitution states that a person who does not believe in God are not allowed to testify as a witness in court or hold any state civil department. I am a believer and I don't think this is right at all.

5. Killing Any Animal in Fayetteville, Arkansas is Not Allowed

Fayetteville in Northwest Arkansas always ranks high on one the best places to live in the U.S. but if you plan on living there, the city has an ordinance that does not allow the killing, shooting, hunting or wounding any wild animal within the city limits. You want to hunt there are plenty of places outside the city limits to do that.

6.  Not Allowed to Honk Horn in a Drive-Thru Restaurant

This law applies in Little Rock where no one is allowed to honk their horn at any place where cold drinks or sandwiches are served after 9 PM. I'm pretty sure this law gets broken everyday.

Do you know of any bizarre laws in your town?
