The 45th Anniversary of the 2022 Texarkana Bandit Run rolls into town this Sunday, May 22, at the Four States Auto Museum located at 217 Laurel Street.

The one and only Original Bandit Run which replicates the drive from Texarkana to Atlanta, Georgia, was made famous in the iconic 1977 classic Burt Reynolds movie that starred Jackie Gleason, Sally Fields, and Jerry Reed.

Somewhere around 500 Trans Am's are expected to be making the run to Atlanta, Georgia this year. The Smokey and the Bandit Run Kickoff Party will be held at the Four States Auto Museum beginning at 10 AM until 4 PM.

Fans and participants will be treated to live music, grilled burgers, vendors, custom awards, exclusive events, special guests, and a raffle for a 4K TV, and 50/50 pot.

If you drive a Limited Edition Black and Gold Pontiac Firebird Trans Am just like the one in the movie or any other color Trans Am or classic muscle car you're invited to take park in the Bandit Run. Free entries begin at noon Sunday at the Four States Auto Museum.

About Bandit Run

The Bandit Run was started by David Hershey and Dave Hall of Restore a Muscle Car in 2007. Each year a new route is organized in order to see other parts of the country and to bring in other participants from all across the United States. Since this began other organizations have started their own run but this Bandit Run is the original, as the old saying goes, often imitated, never duplicated.

So, are you ready! It's time to get East Bound and Down with the 45th Anniversary of the Texarkana Bandit Run.
