It's another cancellation of a great event in Texarkana thanks to COVID-19. The board of directors at Alzheimer's Alliance Tri-State Area had to make the tough decision to cancel the Twice as Fine Wine Festival.

The festival which usually takes place in May at Spring Lake Park was postponed to October 10 due to the coronavirus. Now those plans have unfortunately had to change again.

John Ross, Board President said in a press release

“the decision to cancel this event was not made lightly, however, it was made out of an abundance of caution during this time of uncertainty. The Board believes it is the best decision for the concern and safety of our community.”

I really hate to see this event and others around our area canceled. A lot of these events are for non-profit organizations and the events are usually the one big fundraiser of the year for that organization.  If you usually attend The Twice as Fine Wine Festival you can still make a difference by making a donation to The Alzheimer's Alliance Tri-State Area.
