The Dallas Cowboys have had their fair share of great quarterbacks over the years. But, which one would you say is the best? Let's take a look at some stats to determine who is the best, which may surprise you.

NFL quarterbacks are measured by their passer rating, which factors in completion percentage, yards per attempt, touchdowns per attempt, and interceptions per attempt. We'll look at each one of those stats, using the top 4 Dallas Cowboys quarterbacks in each category.

Passing Yards

  1. Troy Aikman - 32,942
  2. Tony Romo - 30,825
  3. Roger Staubach - 22,700
  4. Danny White - 21,959

Completion Percentage

  1. Tony Romo - 2549 out of 3934 for 64.8%
  2. Troy Aikman - 2898 out of 4715 for 61.5%
  3. Danny White - 1761 out of 2950 for 59.7%
  4. Roger Staubach - 1685 out of 2958 for 57%

Touchdown Passes

  1. Tony Romo - 217
  2. Troy Aikman - 165
  3. Danny White - 155
  4. Roger Staubach - 153

Interceptions

  1. Troy Aikman - 141
  2. Danny White - 132
  3. Roger Staubach - 109
  4. Tony Romo - 106

Passer Rating

  1. Tony Romo - 95.9
  2. Roger Staubach - 83.4
  3. Danny White - 81.7
  4. Troy Aikman - 81.6

Based off of these statistics, Tony Romo is, by far, the best quarterback in Dallas Cowboys history. Romo has way more touchdown passes, a better completion percentage, and the lowest number of interceptions between the 4 quarterbacks. And, he is only a little over 2,000 yards away from Troy Aikman in passing yards.

Some will argue that Aikman, Staubach and White (White got his as a backup) all have Super Bowl wins under their belt, but pure statistics don't lie. Tony Romo is the best.
