It turns out Vince Neil won't be performing at Donald Trump's presidential induction in January.

Billboard had reported that the Motley Crue singer would be in Washington, D.C., on Jan. 20 when Trump is sworn in as the 45th president of the United States. He said he was asked about performing "months ago."

“The promoters asked if I was available, and I said yes,” Neil said. “So we sent all of the band’s passports to the Secret Service so everybody can get in, and all of the crew people, not knowing who was winning. But we were already scheduled to play.”

However, in a new video posted by TMZ, Neil reveals that he's been uninvited. "It turns out, when the Republicans won, we were uninvited. I didn't know about the Democratic [party] part of asking us to play, I just assumed... it doesn't matter who won, it's still a big party, right? But I guess it's not, I guess there's more politics involved in bands playing than I really thought there was."

(So wait... Hillary Clinton is a Motley Crue fan?)

Neil will appear on the next season of Celebrity Apprentice, the reality show hosted by Trump for 14 seasons. Former governor of California, and onetime movie star, Arnold Schwarzenegger, will take over hosting duties from the president-elect when the new season debuts in January.

Last month, Neil put behind him part of a battery assault stemming from an incident in April when he allegedly grabbed a woman from behind and pulled her down on the floor inside a Las Vegas hotel. He paid a $1,000 fine, and will spend six months on “informal probation” and undergo impulse control counseling as a result of the plea. The woman also filed a civil suit against Neil. That case is still pending.
