Lee Crystal, who played drums for Joan Jett & the Blackhearts during their most commercially successful period in the '80s, has died. He passed away from complications from multiple sclerosis, which he was diagnosed with in 1993.

Joan Jett has been chosen as the 2013 honoree for the Sunset Strip Music Festival, which will be held August 1-3 in West Hollywood, California.  The three-day celebration will kick off with a special VIP event paying tribute to Jett at the House of Blues Sunset Strip.
