If you've heard the rumors that one of Texarkana's most beloved restaurants is closing then you heard right. Unfortunately, it is not a rumor.

Our friends at China Inn on Stateline have confirmed the story. The restaurant which has been a staple in Texarkana for over 30 years is closing its doors.

Maria Woods who has been with the restaurant for over 22 years said,

China Inn has been serving Texarkana for over 30 years and is finally signing off.

Their last day will be Friday, March 31. I have a feeling it will be extremely busy this week as everyone stops by for their last fix of China Inn's Special Fried Rice and other great dishes.

It has also been confirmed that a car wash business has bought the property.

Who doesn't love this place? The food has always been so good and the service has always been so fast and friendly.

My husband and I have enjoyed their Sizzling Rice Soup for years among all the other great entries served. What is your favorite meal to order at China Inn? I guess the big question is who will take its place in our hearts and stomachs?

On the bright side, China Inn has always been popular and it is not closing due to a lack of business. To the owners and employees, a big thank you for your great service and food in Texarkana over the years and be proud to know that y'all are going out on top and will be definitely missed.
