Flying Out of Shreveport Will Cost More [POLL]

Flickr / Redlegsfan21

If you fly out of Shreveport with Allegiant Air it will now cost you more to travel if you plan on having carry-on baggage.  Las Vegas based Allegiant made the fee active immediately.

Allegiant is now charging $35 for a carry-on bag.  Passengers will be allowed a personal item such as a purse, hand-bag, or lap-top bag for free, but anything bigger will cost you.  Allegiant occasionally offers some great deals for flights from Shreveport to Las Vegas, and even with the added fee, would still be competitive.

This is the second airline to start charging a fee for carry-ons.  Spirit Airlines out of Florida began charging $45 per carry-on back in 2010.
