Texarkana enjoyed the first ever Roller Derby Bout here at Skate America - Texarkana Hosted by Quad State Derby Dames Now it is time for the next one! This coming Sunday, Oct. 20! Doors will open at 2 p.m. and the Bout (Game) will start at 3 p.m.

This is for real and there is nothing fake about it! This is the only female contact sport we are aware of!

A percentage of all ticket sales go to Domestic Violence Prevention Inc. of Texarkana.

So if you have not been to a bout, the time has come! As long as Texarkana fans support roller derby, there will be bouts here in town. Not much longer and the league will have a full team, so you will be able to cheer for your favorite local Texarkana girls. Go to qsdd.org and order your tickets now!

Check with your local roller derby girl as she may have some tickets. Also, Skate America has some on hand. Your local girls on Quad State Derby Dames will be there along with girls from Little Rock, Ark.; Shreveport and Monroe, La.; Dallas, Longview and Jacksonville, Texas as well as a few other areas. So get your tickets now!

Bring a chair as seating is limited and you want to make sure you get where you can enjoy all the excitement. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Children under 10 are free with a paying adult.

There will be a Halloween costume contest at halftime so the whole family can dress up and join in. Practice will be this Wednesday, so stop by if you want tickets or have questions!
