San Diego County authorities are saying that the remains of a body that was discovered Wednesday (Nov. 26) was that of Sally Estabrook, the mother-in-law of Megadeth founder Dave Mustaine. Estabrook had been missing since Oct. 4.

CBS8 in San Diego said that a maintenance worker had discovered her in some dense brush approximately a half-mile away from the Julian, CA, RV park where she lived with her husband. Her identity was later confirmed. The news story can be found below.

Last night, Mustaine posted the following message to his Facebook page. "Yesterday evening I received a call that a person had located a body and the investigators from SDSD Homicide Division described our beloved mother, Sally Estabrook. Thank you all for your prayers, your good thoughts, and positive vibes."

Estabrook, 75, had been suffering from Alzheimer's disease when she walked away from the campground while her husband was showering. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death. However, foul play is not suspected.
