Ryan Downs Stamps, Arkansas, has been named a 2019 New Century Workforce Pathway Scholar and will receive a $1,250 scholarship. Downs is a student at the University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana where he is pursuing an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Power Technologies with an emphasis in Electrical Instrumentation.

Diamond Holmes of Texarkana, Arkansas, has been selected as the 2019 TRiO Upward Bound Selects 2019 Hall of Fame Recipient at the University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana (UAHT). Holmes is the daughter of Tanyaka Conway. She is a senior at Arkansas High School and an active member of Lonoke Baptist Church. The Arkansas Department of Education recently authorized the transfer of the Secondary Career and Technical Education (CTE) Center currently operated by the Texarkana, Arkansas School District (TASD) to the University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana (UAHT).
