Officials from Texas A&M University-Texarkana and Northeast Texas Community College in Mt. Pleasant recently signed several new articulation agreements between the two institutions.

Texas A&M University-Texarkana held its 2018 Spring Commencement Ceremony on May 12. The university awarded 248 degrees in front of a capacity crowd at First Baptist Church.

The Bowie County Master Gardeners and Texas A&M University-Texarkana will present a program titled “Edible Landscapes” on tonight Monday, June 11. The class will take place from 6PM until 8PM in Room 306 of the Science and Technology Building on the TAMUT campus.

The Program for Learning and Community Engagement at Texas A&M University-Texarkana along with The Library Book Club will feature a discussion of Steve Silberman’s book “NeuroTribes, The Legacy of Autism and the Future of Neurodiversity.” The discussion will be led by Dr. Kevin Williams, A&M-Texarkana Assistant Professor of Instructional Technology.

The first annual Music on the Lake Festival will include music from different genres including Pop, R&B, Soul, Hip-Hop and Country! The Program for Learning and Community Engagement at Texas A&M University-Texarkana will present “When Algorithms Trade: Artificial Intelligence Meets Finance” featuring Dr. Michael Wellman on Tuesday, February 20, at 7PM in University Center 217 on the A&M-Texarkana campus, 7101 University Ave., Texarkana, Texas.

The East Texas Writing Project (ETWP) will host its 2018 Spring Educators’ Conference on Friday, March 2, from 8:30AM to 3PM at Texas A&M University-Texarkana, Eagle Hall, 7101 University Avenue, Texarkana, Texas.

Samantha Sharpnack-Isom of Texas A&M University-Texarkana brought home the Red River Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week award for October 2 - October 8, the RRAC announced on Monday. This is Sharpnack-Isom’s second time to earn the honor this season.
