With Veterans’ Day 2020 approaching next week, Texarkana College wants to say “Thank You” for the service and dedication shown to our country by hosting a special enrollment event for Veterans and their dependents.

The Texarkana College Foundation recently received a gift of $25,000 to start the Super 1 Foods scholarship endowment.

At Monday’s board meeting the Texarkana College Trustees approved the institution’s two-year strategic plan including its mission, core values and beliefs, top priorities, and goals. The approval of the plan solidifies measurable goals for the College that will strengthen the base of skilled and prepared employees available for the regional workforce.

Texarkana College will move to a virtual format for all courses and student services for Thursday, August 27, 2020, and Friday, August 28, 2020, due to the threat of severe weather in our area.

Registration for Texarkana College’s May mini-mester, summer sessions, and fall semester is now available online at texarkanacollege.edu.

Yesterday, March 30, the Texarkana College Board of Trustees approved 9- and 12-month faculty contracts for the 2020-2021 academic year.

Damon Eric Lynn of New Boston, Texas, age 56, passed away on February 15, 2020. A memorial service will be held for Lynn on Saturday, March 14, at 10AM in the Truman Arnold Student Center on the Texarkana College Campus, 2500 N. Robison Road. Pastor Kelsey Coleman will officiate the service under the direction of East Funeral Home.
