We told you last week this was coming, well now it's here and it looks much colder than was originally predicted.

It just doesn't seem like fall when you're wearing shorts under your Halloween costume because it's too hot for jeans. Well, get ready Texarkana, looks like old man winter is wheezing in our general direction early next week and may stick around long enough to make All Hallows Eve feel just right.

Hey, it's Jim, you know the guy who's "Just Plane Nuts." I was trying to remember when was the last time I went to an air show... It has been way too long for me, I think the last time was a year or two before all the COVID-19 mess. I know there are some coming up in the fall, but I'm getting a little antsy.

Remember the Saharan dust that fell upon the Ark-La-Tex a couple of months ago? It's back and may make it a little rough for those with respiratory issues.

This Sunday night into Monday morning let's hope for some cloudless skies over the Ark-La-Tex so we can get a great view of the full "Super Flower Blood Moon" eclipse.

With schools closed down for the rest of the school year, there is a special group of students that are missing out on high school milestones. High School Seniors.

Friday night was a wrap for three area teams, Daingerfield, Gilmer and Prescott, but the good news is, two area teams are still in it, and they both might just win it all.

- Big Friday night of high school playoff football action in East Texas this week as four teams, all from our local area will be battling it out for their Regional Championships in quarterfinal action.

- Congratulations are in order for Area Champions the Pleasant Grove Hawks as they move onward and upward, as well as Area Champs the Daingerfield Tigers! Both are moving up to their respective Regional Championships in their quarterfinal games this week. Unfortunately, we have to say goodbye to Nashville this week, but as always, congratulations on a super season!

It's an exciting time of year and can be a very disappointing time of year as well. This past weekend we had some area high school football teams play their last game of the year and a few that are still battling. We have to say goodbye to Texas High, Arkansas High, Jefferson, and Foreman as they all wrapped up their seasons this past weekend...

This is one of the best times of the year, not simply because of the Holiday season that has begun but because it's high school football playoff time in Texas and Arkansas! Some are moving on, and some, their season is over, let's run 'em down and see who's next. Not...
