We've all had it happen at one time or another -- someone steals your stuff. It's a violation, it's frustrating, it angers you. Stuff is stuff and most "stuff" can be replaced. But when things are taken that can't be replaced that's when real hurt sets in. Such is the case for Donna Robbins and the theft of her two sons' military uniforms and awards.

Both of her sons, Jake Ashby and Josh Ashby had their Army and Marine uniforms and awards stolen during a break in at her storage building behind the Dollar General in Redwater between January 30 and February 8.

Robbins says the loss of her belongings in the break in is frustrating but the loss of her boys' military memorabilia is just heartbreaking. We agree.

The Ashby men are two local heroes as far we're concerned and if we can help raise awareness and maybe increase the chances of getting their military gear back then we're happy to help.

If you have any information regarding these uniforms that have the name Ashby on both of them or of know anyone trying to sell military ribbons or awards, please contact the Bowie County Sheriff's office at (903) 798-3149.
