Just another Thursday night in Texas, where the beer is cold, the boots are muddy, and apparently, billiards can now be played on horseback.

In a moment so surreal it might as well be sponsored by the Texas Tourism Board, a now-viral video shows a man taking a pool shot from the saddle of an actual horse. Not next to the horse. Not after dismounting the horse. No, on the horse. Inside a bar.

Because why not? The video has unfortunately been removed so all we have is a blurry screenshot and my crummy description of the TikTok itself. The story is just a Lone Star Legend now.

Viral Video Shows Man Playing Pool on Horse in Texas

The clip, posted to TikTok, was recorded at the 3R Roadhouse in Lott, Texas. This is a town so small it makes El Paso look like Manhattan. In the video, our cowboy hero straddles a horse that’s parked right next to a pool table. He lines up his shot, gives it a go, and completely misses.

To be fair, pool is hard enough without having to stabilize your pelvis on a thousand-pound animal.

The horse, perhaps embarrassed for them both, starts backing away. Maybe it was looking for a table with better lighting, or just fewer witnesses.

Also worth noting: there's a ceiling fan spinning dangerously close to the man's head. Of course there is. What’s a Texas bar story without a little risk of blunt-force decapitation?

Reactions to Texas Man Playing Pool on Horse

Online reactions ranged from confused to completely unsurprised.

“I just knew this was in Texas,” one commenter said, clearly a seasoned veteran of internet chaos. Others leaned into the stereotype. “This is what I tell people a regular Texas day is like,” another wrote.

One viewer summed it up perfectly: “This is either the most Texan thing I’ve seen or a deleted scene from Yellowstone.”

Where Did the Pool-on-Horse Incident Happen?

The bar in question, 3R Roadhouse, is located in Lott, Texas. It’s open Wednesday through Sunday and offers drinks, burgers, and apparently, live demonstrations of cowboy multitasking.

No word yet on whether management plans to install a trough near the pool table or start charging horse cover fees.
