For the sixth year in a row, “Idol Across America” is hitting all 50 states (plus D.C.), but here’s the plot twist: it’s all happening on Zoom. That’s right! You don’t have to line up for hours, camp out overnight, or pray your voice holds up until you hit the stage. Instead, hopefuls can audition face-to-face with an actual “American Idol” producer from the comfort of their bedroom, living room, or even their backyard if the Wi-Fi’s strong enough.

This season, the virtual auditions are leveling up. Contestants will get real-time feedback from producers in the first round, giving singers an immediate chance to fine-tune their performance and hopefully secure that golden ticket moment.

So if you’ve ever belted out Kelly Clarkson in the shower, or imagined yourself on stage next to Ryan Seacrest, now’s the time to prove it. You might just be the next Idol to put Texas on the map.
