
New Downtown Wichita Falls Street Lights Look Great
Downtown Wichita Falls just completed a major upgrade. Brand-new streetlights are now ready to light up the area, and they look awesome.
Back in May, the Wichita Falls City Council approved almost $800,000 for new light fixtures, and I have been following the progress of their installation ever since.
Wichita Falls Gets Stylish New Downtown Street Lights
These suckers need to last a long, long time, so the installation process has taken a while, but seeing the men on the cranes putting the final pieces on top this morning was really cool.
The city added the lights to make downtown safer and more welcoming, especially at night. The new design gives the streets a clean, modern look that fits in with all the shops and events happening there lately.

People who live and work downtown are already noticing the change. One shop owner said, “It just feels safer and more inviting. It’s a small thing, but it makes a big difference.”
City leaders hope the brighter streets will bring more people downtown to hang out, shop, and enjoy the area after dark. It’s one more step toward making Wichita Falls’ downtown a place people really want to be.
