Texas Mail System Busts Drug Traffickers
There is a battle going on behind closed doors all over Texas, and the United States Postal Inspection Service is on the front lines. The U.S. Postal Service and the U.S. Postal Inspection Service have released new 2025 data on the amount of narcotics seized coming through the mail.

1,467 cocaine seizures added up to 6,736 lbs, 752 synthetic opioid seizures led to 2,352 lbs, and 71 heroin seizures added up to 184 lbs. These all occurred between October 2024 - May 2025.
Postal inspectors are working in Texas to protect postal employees from these substances in the mail. The goal is to keep it out of the system as they dismantle the Dark Web that is allowing drug dealers to sell online and mail it out.
