Well, dang. Yet another restaurant is closing its doors in Texarkana.

We have been losing so many businesses and restaurants over the past few years. We recently found out Big Lots, American's Mattress, and Reggie's Burgers and Dogs on Stateline have all closed or are in the process of closing.

The good news is that it is not due to a lack of business, as so many other restaurants and retail stores have been doing. No, this is for the simple reason that the owner wants to enjoy his retirement. Really can you blame him? Life is short and if you can enjoy your retirement then go for it!

The Duke Bar and Grill announced it is closing its doors effective today Thursday, November 21. News of the closing hit social media late yesterday afternoon.

Hello friends and followers. The Duke Bar and Grill has made the decision to close its doors. Our owner is ready to hang up his spurs and enjoy his retirement. A huge thank you to everyone for the support and patronage as well as the wonderful staff we’ve had.

The Duke Bar and Grill, formerly 67 Landing, opened its doors under new management on Friday, May 2. So it is sad to see it is already closing.
