Update:10/24/24 at 12:10 PM - Texarkana Texas Police arrested a 15-year-old juvenile in connection with the alleged overnight shooting. He has been charged with Aggravated Assault and taken to JDC.

Texarkana Texas Police are investigating a shooting that took place early this morning where a 17-year-old was found with multiple gunshot wounds.

Texarkana Police posted on their Facebook page that the shooting took place around 2:15 AM this morning (Thursday, October 24). Officers were responding to a call about people hearing gunshots fired in the area of the 1500 block of Milam Street.

As officers were on their way another call came saying a victim was laying in front of an apartment in the area. Police found the 17-year-old where it appeared the victim had been shot multiple times.  Police started lifesaving measures.

The teen was transported to Wadley Regional Hospital and later airlifted to Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock.

There is no word on the victim's condition right now.

Detectives are investigating this case and are working hard to find out what happened and identify who is responsible for the shooting.
