Arkansas-Side Pursuit Begins After Officers Spot Suspect Vehicle

Texarkana Arkansas Police received the alert around 9:30 AM regarding a kidnapping reported in Hooks. Just after 12:30 PM, officers located the vehicle traveling south on Highway 71. The driver pulled into a business in the 6800 block of North Stateline Avenue, where officers attempted to make contact with the male driver, identified as 29-year-old Jason Hosey, and a female passenger.

Police say Hosey ignored commands and fled, leading officers onto Interstate 30. Arkansas State Police (ASP) joined the pursuit as it continued across Texarkana.

Suspect Stopped and Taken Into Custody

Troopers ended the chase using a tactical vehicle intervention (TVI)  in an open field near the 5300 block of Jefferson Avenue, disabling the vehicle and allowing officers to take Hosey into custody safely. The female passenger, identified as the victim in the Hooks kidnapping case, was confirmed safe at the scene.
